True Blue Thermal Barrier

True Blue Thermal Barrier is an innovated Australian product designed to be used between two metallic surfaces to form a thermal break to satisfy the requirements of The Building Code of Australia to achieve an R-Value of R.02.

True Blue Thermal Barriers are made from high density, rigid, extruded polystyrene with a 100% closed cell structure, and is produced on a fully automated extrusion process in accordance with international specification and standards. The ends are designed to interlock to produce any required length. The self adhesive on both faces allows for easy of installation to the steel structure, keeping in place materials such as reflective insulation, wall wrap, silsalation etc.while fixing the external cladding to roof or walls.

True Blue Thermal Barriers has a compression strength of 220-360 kpa. This maintains its full thickness when it is placed between the steel members and the external cladding; it prevents the cladding from distorting at the fixing points or bulging between fixings. While maintaining its full thickness along the full length the R-Value of R.02 is maintained during its lifetime.

True Blue Thermal Barriers come with acrylic self-adhesive to both faces and a paper release liners. The adhesive power to steel 18.7N/25mm (steel must be free from dirt or oil before applying barriers)

True Blue Thermal Barriers are prepacked in boxes of 100 for ease of handling and the prevention of damage of product.

Installation of True Blue Barriers is extremely easy just peel off the paper liner and place the barrier onto the clean steel surface.

True Blue Thermal Barriers have been examined and approved for their application by James M Fricker MIE Aust CP Eng Chartered Professional Engineer Member of The Institution of Engineers Australia.
